Dr. Coleman graduated with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) in Texas.  While attending PVAMU, he worked as a resident assistant (RA.), community assistant (C.A), and volunteered with the Wesley Foundation to perform community service projects. Additionally, he was a member of the Black Stone Pre-law Society. Dr. Coleman would later intern with the U.S. Department of Defense before joining International Business Machines (IBM) as an Engineer in Boulder, Colorado.  Dr. Coleman also worked as a Senior Engineer at Seagate Technology. 

In Colorado, Dr. Coleman preached in a prison ministry, taught a men’s Sunday school class, performed baptisms, administered communion, and participated in prayer groups. He was a church administrator of over 40 different auxiliaries.  Dr. Coleman has taught Sunday school in multiple states and congregations. At the Monument of Faith Evangelistic Church, Dr. Coleman taught Sunday school to homeless populations for many years feeding and preaching to nearly 50 men and women every week.  He is the Sunday School Co-Superintendent at Monument of Faith Evangelistic Church.

The Parabola of Discipleship for the Churched and Unchurched

This is a very interesting account of a discipleship program run through the homeless ministry of a Chicago church. It contains a detailed breakdown of how the course was conceived and executed, how well different aspects of the course went, and suggested changes for future similar courses. It also includes some exercises that could be used in future programs and a pretest and posttest to help quantify the course’s results.

Dr. Coleman earned a Masters of Business degree from Governors State University, a Masters of Urban Ministry from Trinity Evangelical Seminary (TEDS) at Trinity International University, and two Doctorates in Education from National Louis University as an Educational Specialist and in Higher Education Leadership.  In seminary, Dr. Coleman became a certified Chaplain and counselor. Dr. Coleman has worked in the field of education for over a decade in computer science and engineering in the public school system.  The Lord has given Dr. Coleman numerous unique inventions and concepts.  Dr. Coleman has published two books, the Parabola of Discipleship for the Church and Unchurched and Minority Students in STEM: the Role of AP Calculus.
